THE POWER OF THE RED
Music video style documentary
Vignettes of women shrouded in the color red and the often negative but false associations that comes along with it.
As a cautionary tale, this experimental film explores narcissism within a world of instant gratifications while taking a close look at one individual's struggles with self esteem and discipline in a society consumed with conformity, vanity, addiction and obsessions.
During the last term of their senior year, three friends come across a pair of red heels that take them from being outcasts to confident and popular girls overnight. Within a matter of days, strange deaths and disappearances occur putting the girls at the center of an investigation, and the strength of their own friendship is questioned amongst obsessions, jealousy, and self-identity.
A psychological tale exploring one woman's 'self ' in conflict with her society's expectations, shifting responsibilities and the environmental development of a child.
